I am Mr. Leimer, the 6th grade homeroom teacher and Science teacher for 5th-8th Middle School.  I have been enjoying teaching in Lutheran Middle Schools for over 25 years. I have also enjoyed teaching middle school art to my students and helping to develop the artistic gifts that God has blessed them with.  In 6th grade, students are challenged to take pride in their work.  It's also a time when students develop responsibility, maturity, and the skills to handle the emotional challenges involved with peer relationships. I truly enjoy working with this age group of students.

Recently I started a science enrichment program called "Lab Rats" that is an after school enrichment program that involves all age groups and helps to promote excitment in  science for students who have an interest in this area. It is my favorite subject so it is a lot of fun passing on this excitement to the next generation.

I am a graduate of Concordia at Bronxville, New York, and I have a BS in Education with a concentration in science. I also serve as an Elder at Grace Lutheran Church, and  love to spend time with my wife and two teenage sons traveling and exploring. We especially love to spend part of our summer on Sanibel Island, Florida.

Welcome to the 2017-2018 School Year!

The theme for this school year is "Connected" based on John 15:5.  We are Connected to Christ, Connected to Community.

“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing."   John 15:5
