Introduction

What is Accelerated Reader?

AR is a computer based program that helps students achieve even more success at reading by helping them choose appropriately leveled books. AR also helps a teacher understand a student's comprehension while reading a book independently.  After reading a book, the student logs onto the computer to take a quiz about the book.  The results allow the teacher to guide students to be even more successful in their selection and thereby increasing their comprehension of the books.

If you have questions about AR, the ATOS Book Level, or the Interest Level for a book, click here for more information.
